How to Review Submissions?

A detailed overview of how song submissions appear, how to review them, and what rules apply to ensure fair and consistent curation across the platform.

Updated this week

1. Receiving Submissions

You will receive song submissions based on your playlist genres, sub-genres, and other matching metrics related to both you as a curator and your playlists.
All incoming submissions appear in the Submissions tab of your Curator App.

2. Your Responsibilities as a Curator

Each curator is required to properly review every song, meaning:

  • You must listen to the song.

  • Decide whether to accept or decline it based on your playlist’s musical fit.

For every submission, you’ll see a recommended playlist that best matches the campaign. However, you can choose a different playlist from your own list if it fits better — as long as it matches the correct tier (explained below).

3. Playlist Tiers and Rewards

Playlists are divided into four tiers based on their total number of saves. Rewards are determined by the tier level:

Tier

Playlist Saves Range

Tier 1

500 – 9,999

Tier 2

10,000 – 49,999

Tier 3

50,000 – 99,999

Tier 4

100,000+

💡 Each submission shows the tier and reward in the Campaign tab before you review it.

4. Accepting and Declining Submissions

We do not incentivize acceptance. Both accepting and declining a submission grant the same reward — to ensure unbiased reviews.

  • If you accept:
A pop-up will open where you must select which playlist(s) from your eligible tier you’ll place the track in.

  • If you decline:
You’ll be asked to provide feedback, which is mandatory but made quick and simple.

Once accepted or declined, your reward is instantly credited to your balance.

5. Submission Expiration (72-Hour Limit)

You have 72 hours to review each submission after it’s assigned to you.
If you don’t take action within this time, the submission will expire automatically.

  • Expired submissions do not reduce your credits.

  • However, too many expirations will lower your Curator Score, which can reduce your chances of receiving high-quality submissions in the future.

6. Pausing New Submissions

If your playlists are full or you know you won’t have time to review new songs, you can pause incoming submissions to protect your curator score:

  • Profile Level: Turn off accepting new pitches in the top header bar — this pauses submissions to all your playlists.

  • Playlist Level: Turn off accepting new pitches in the Playlist tab — this pauses submissions only for that playlist.

✅ Summary

  • Review all submissions within 72 hours.

  • Listen before deciding.

  • Provide feedback on declines.

  • Ensure placements match your playlist’s tier.

  • Pause submissions if you can’t keep up.

By following these simple guidelines, you’ll maintain a strong curator reputation, consistent rewards, and reliable matches with high-quality campaigns.
