Placement Rules and Violations

A clear overview of our playlist placement requirements, outlining how long and where tracks must stay to ensure fairness for artists and accountability for curators.

Updated over a week ago

To ensure fairness, transparency, and a consistent experience for both artists and curators, all placements on our platform must follow a few clear rules. These are designed to maintain the integrity of our system and protect the interests of artists who trust us with their campaigns.

1. 24-Hour Placement Rule

Once a curator accepts a song, it must be added to the selected playlist within 24 hours.
Failing to place the track in this timeframe counts as a placement violation.

2. 30-Day Duration Rule

Every accepted song must stay on the playlist it was initially placed on for a minimum of 30 consecutive days.
Removing or replacing the track before the 30-day period ends is considered a placement violation.

3. Top 50 Position Rule

All placed tracks must remain within the top 50 positions of the playlist (positions 1โ€“50).
If a song moves below position 50, curators will receive a 24-hour warning to correct it.
If the song is not moved back to the top 50 within that time, it will be marked as a placement violation.

โš ๏ธ What Happens If These Rules Are Broken

Violations of the 24-hour or 30-day rules result in:

  • Immediate removal of the pitch, and

  • A fine equal to the reward received for that pitch.

This ensures accountability and protects artists who pay for legitimate placements and reviews.

Violations of the Top 50 Position Rule are handled slightly differently to account for human error or playlist updates. Curators are given 24 hours to fix the issue. If itโ€™s not corrected in that window, the pitch is removed, and the curator is fined.

Please note that these violations are irreversible, as affected pitches are automatically re-pitched to another matched curator to avoid any delay in campaign delivery.

๐Ÿ’ก Why These Rules Exist

These placement rules ensure that every artist gets the exposure they paid for, and every curator maintains trust and reliability on the platform. By following these simple guidelines, we can continue building a transparent and fair ecosystem for everyone in our community.
